GuitarSafeā„¢ Micro-Suction Pads

Our proprietary GuitarSafeā„¢ Micro-Suction Pads are modeled after a Gecko's foot, using suction instead of adhesive to adhere to your guitar.Ā

We tested multiple formulations of micro-suctionĀ materialĀ before finalizingĀ theĀ formula for our GuitarSafeā„¢ pads.Ā  Some formulations were far too aggressive and others not quite aggressive enough.Ā  Instead, we wanted it to adhere safely to the guitar's finish but notĀ so aggressively that it could cause damage to delicate finishes. The pad's surface contains thousands of microscopic air pockets that create partial vacuums between theĀ puck and the target surface. It isn’t pressure sensitive and won't leave any residue behind. It can also be used repeatedly without losing itsĀ gripping power.Ā

To see our ongoing testing blog onĀ the subject click here.Ā  Our GuitarSafeā„¢ Micro-Suction Pad technology is now also available on our Taylor Acoustic Pick Guards!

If your Thalia Pick Puck loses some of its bonding power, simply wipe the GuitarSafeā„¢ Micro-Suction pad with a damp cloth to remove the dust and it will work as good as new.Ā  To removeĀ the pick puck, you simply pull slowly or twist to break the suction.

Love the pick puck Abalone

Picks are handy but not in the way. I also don’t have to search for them when I forget where I set down my favorite pick. They go back into the pick puck. The mini looks and works great with out taking up much space.

Great little tool

Pick pucks keep your picks handy. I like that they offer so many options and mine with custom initials looks great.

Pick Puck Testing on Various Guitar Finishes

If you are wondering about how the pick puck may affect your guitar's finish you are in the right place.Ā  In this blog article, I will perform a series of tests on my guitars and talk about finish safety.Ā  The bottom line is that the pick puck uses thousands of nano-sized suction cups to adhere to your guitar.Ā  Ā While it doesn't use adhesive it does use suction, so certain finishes should be avoided.

Ā

In this next video, Chris demonstrates how to remove the pick puck safely without damaging the puck or your guitar's finish.
