I'm sorry, but mistook what kind of picks these were. Well at least my teeth are clean. These picks are the best. 😎 It changes the sound when playing the guitar. Each one is fun to use, because they each have their own feel. These are what I will be buying now and forever. Thank you Thalia Family Your products are great. 😀 I'm still having a hard time finding just the right capo. Soon!!

Love the feel of wood

I love the feel of wood in my hand and the sound from my acoustic guitar when I use the picks. It reminds me of warm mellow winds blowing in the high populars, by a fire at my favorite campground, heaven

Sample the sound quality of the different wood picks offered

Unsure of which wood specie to order for picks? The Exotic Wood Sampler Mixed Species Pick Tin is a nice and reasonably cost effective way to give them all a try. Likely due to the hardness factor of the different woods, each pick produces a different sound, tonal quality at least playing an acoustic guitar. Give them all a try then pick your favorite and order a larger quantity.

Nice Pick!

I play bass, and 90% of the time I use a pick. A HEAVY pick. I was always looking at The Thalia picks, wondering how they sounded compared to plastic. Well, they sound great! Easy to hold (and hold ON to!), and the sound is what I was hoping for. My only regret is that I think they wear out more quickly than my heavy plastic one. I use them every time I play out, and that means several times a month. I recommend giving them a try!

Bubinga picks

I’m pleasantly surprised by the feel to the hand and different, softer tone these picks add to my playing. Well worth the investment!!

Symbology & Meaning

Yin and yang is a complex, relational concept in Chinese culture that has developed over thousands of years. Briefly put, the meaning of yin and yang is that the universe is governed by a cosmic duality, sets of two opposing and complementing principles or cosmic energies that can be observed in nature.  Yin is characterized as an inward energy that is feminine, still, dark, and negative. On the other hand, yang is characterized as outward energy, masculine, hot, bright, and positive.

Thickness Specs

You can order our pick tins in 0.9mm or 1.4mm thicknesses.

Our 0.9mm has a playability that is similar to a Fender Medium, while our 1.4mm would be similar to a Fender Thick, but with a much warmer tone.

Our Pick Technology

Thalia Exotic Wood Picks are crafted by slicing micro-thin layers of exotic wood and then bonding them back together with the woodgrain in a crosshatch pattern. The result is a very thin, flexible and durable wood pick with a warm tone that sounds better with each use. We offer multiple shapes and thicknesses.

Check out the overview video below for more details:

Our picks are made in the USA of 100% Santos Rosewood. Our 0.9mm picks are made with 2 layers of exotic wood and 1.4mm picks are made with 3 layers of exotic wood.

Durability & Playability

Our picks are made of 100% wood so they will wear down with use. They will not last as long as a plastic pick, but we think that you will love their tone and thinness.

Our thinnest pick, the 0.9mm is flexible and functionally similar to a Fender Medium. As a result these picks will wear out much faster than our thicker 1.4mm picks. These picks are made of two layers of wood that are crosshatched for strength. They are the most fragile of all of our picks. These picks are really made for users who desire flex in their wood pick.  If you are a hard strummer the 0.9mm picks are probably not for you.

Our thicker 1.4mm picks will develop a beveled edge as you play with them and adapt to your picking style. These picks are made of three layers of wood and are far more durable. As a result, they really don't have any flex.
