Beautiful Capo

A beautiful capo, sturdy and well balanced, with a nice weight about it. First capo I've used that applied perfectly every time with 0 string buzz. Fits all three of my guitars without applying the included spacers!

Brilliant, well designed, simple to use and doesn't pull the guitar out of tune

I've got a number of capo's, all of which are meant to be good, but most of which have some sort of issue meaning they aren't perfect. The Thalia capo not only looks good, but works well and doesn't have a negative impact on tuning, which is especially important when using on a Twelve string guitar. In my case, I went with the high tension octave touch pads which work well on the 12 string, but also work well on an 8 string baritone. As the two guitars have different radius fretboards it does mean having to invest in multiple Thalia capos, although you can of course change the fret pads for different guitars, but with so many different designs available...

It’s just a capo, right?

Well, it literally is a capo. Then again, you could say Tommy Emmanuel and Steve Vai are just guitarists. I’ve got to be honest, I hated playing with a capo. The need for a capo has entered my life in full force recently. So I bought a lot of capos, all of them were okay but, when it came time to move it around the neck, ugh. There were many times I’d have to retune “ why is my intonation so bad?” And moving those clip style down the neck, like moving a cross between an old 80’s style hair clip and a hand grip strengthener. I ended up researching for quick release capos. I found Thalia. Review after review of nothing but praise, so I bought one. Right out of the box, very nice looking the rosewood was beautiful, matched the neck really well. More like a bow tie for my guitar instead of a third arm growing out of the neck like those other capos (or should I say “crapos”) quick release is no joke with this thing, just a little squeeze and boom! Move that thing anywhere on the neck. Those intonation problems I was having, gone. I mean, who knew that the capo itself would cause that issue? (Obviously Thalia is very aware). So, I guess it’s not just a capo it is THE capo. Get yourself one, you won’t regret it. Getting ready to order capo number 3 as I type this out, actually. Thank you, Thalia!

Limited Edition Azure Seas capo

When during this last year this Azure Seas capo came out, I didn't know of it until it was too late to order. Being a limited edition, I figured I wouldn't see it again, but put it on my 'wish list' with them. Some months later, I was notified that a small run of them was being made and ordered it right away. It is truly stunning and I am lucky to have one. The capo works great, better on some guitars than some others--despite changing to the correct radius pads; but when it's good, it is really good. This is my second Thalia capo and they are both certainly works of art.

Fretboard Radius Guide By Guitar Make & Model

To achieve a perfect fit, the Thalia Capo comes with multiple interchangable fretpads so that you can match the fretboard radius of your specific instrument. The following table lists common fretboard radii used by major manufacturer.  If you do not find your specific brand and model below you can Google your guitar make/model plus the words "fretboard radius"; if that doesn't work you can use the manual method which is described here

Please Note:  12-String & 8-String Guitars should use our High Tension OctaveTouch fretpads to get the best performance.  Standard Tension and High Tension Rubber fretpads are included with every capo.  Our Teflon fretpads will likely not work on instruments with octave strings. size chart guide fret board
