Our Custom Shop Jazz 2.0 Santos Rosewood Pick Tins come with your choice of 6, 12, 18, 50 or 100 Thalia Santos Rosewood 2.0 picks. Each one custom laser engraved with your monogrammed initials or custom artwork.
All of our Custom Picks come in a custom pick tin with your pick engraved in Santos Rosewood on the front. The more picks you buy the lower your cost per pick.
All of our custom picks come in custom pick tins. We offer two sizes of tins: picks with 50 or more picks come in our large tins and less than 50 come in our small tin. Each tin has your custom pick design laser engraved onto a santos rosewood inlay on the top of the tin.
You can order our pick tins in 0.9mm or 1.4mm thicknesses.
Our 0.9mm has a playability that is similar to a Fender Medium, while our 1.4mm would be similar to a Fender Thick, but with a much warmer tone.
Thalia Exotic Wood Picks are crafted by slicing micro-thin layers of exotic wood and then bonding them back together with the woodgrain in a crosshatch pattern. The result is a very thin, flexible and durable wood pick with a warm tone that sounds better with each use. We offer multiple shapes and thicknesses.
Check out the overview video below for more details:
Our picks are made in the USA of 100% Santos Rosewood. Our 0.9mm picks are made with 2 layers of exotic wood and 1.4mm picks are made with 3 layers of exotic wood. Each pick then goes through a 24 hour tumbling sequence to soften the edge.
Our picks are made of 100% wood so they will wear down with use. They will not last as long as a plastic pick, but we think that you will love their tone and thinness.
Our thinnest pick, the 0.9mm is flexible and functionally similar to a Fender Medium. As a result these picks will wear out much faster than our thicker 1.4mm picks. These picks are made of two layers of wood that are crosshatched for strength. They are the most fragile of all of our picks. These picks are really made for users who desire flex in their wood pick. If you are a hard strummer the 0.9mm picks are probably not for you.
Our thicker 1.4mm picks will develop a beveled edge as you play with them and adapt to your picking style. These picks are made of three layers of wood and are far more durable. As a result, they really don't have any flex.
I am the proud owner of a Thalia capo. As you can see from my favorite guitar in the photo I wanted something special for it and I was not disappointed. The sound that they project is something special and natural. They’re beautiful to behold as well. They remind me of the work of a company in Maine that I like that makes handcrafted surfboards out of wood. My favorite pick isn’t fancy. I like thin Guild picks. So it has been interesting for me to experiment with these. I chose the .9 mm standard. This makes 2 out of 2 satisfied purchases for me from Thalia so my next will be a strap!
I was pleasantly surprised at the direct impact that the picks had on my tone. It really warms up the tone in a way that's sort of unexplainable. However, just trust your ears as there is a noticeable difference. It changed the tone of every guitar I own for the better.
I was skeptical, but gave them a shot anyway since I needed more picks. I was very pleasantly surprised. Right out of the tin, it has a very different feel and sound to them. The one thing that got me hooked was the fact that the sound changes and matures the more I use the picks. I noticed they said that it would do that in the video promo for these, but couldn't understand or believe that could be possible. It starts off sounding a bit rough and raw, and the more I used it, the more rounded and warm the sound became. You can even physically see the pick smoothing itself out as you play more and more and the warmth coming along with it. I will post a picture of these picks as well. The one to the far right is the one I've used the most, and you can clearly see the part where the picks is starting to show some wear... in a good way! Also, these picks are beautiful and each one looks unique. Definitely recommend! If I would have to describe the sound, it starts off as a nicer, fuller sounding medium-size pick, and becomes this warm hybrid sound in between a normal pick and finger picking.
I have seen videos on Thalia Capos and picks but never imagined how good these things are. I play guitar with my Son-in-Law at his church and though I can play I can also use all the help I can get. These capos allow me to change keys quickly and efficiently. I liked the capo so much I purchased another one, one for church and one for home then got one for my Son-in-Law, glad to report he loves it and all he uses now.
My type of playing is fingerstyle but my Son-in-Law uses guitar picks. I got some of the Thalia wooden guitar picks for him and am glad to report according to him they are the best he has ever used.
The capos and picks are a good investment for any guitarist serious about their playing.
I have not got to use these picks just yet except a few times. I really can’t give them my full review just yet but from what I have felt, heard, and saw, I think these wooden picks will be a great tool for later use! I want to hear the difference in the tone. Hopefully I will come back with a great review!
