The grain on the Koa truss rod cover was much nicer than the pictures on your website! Looks much better on my Koa Taylor than the black, factory one that came on it. Well worth the $20 that it costs, thx!
The truss rod cover is beautiful and my guitar now has something very special and is even more beautiful. Thanks for the great work, nice contact. This won't be my last order :)
I got this for my koa Taylor, and I couldn’t be more happy with it. It’s gorgeous and arrived within a pretty reasonable time (for a custom made item). Love it
This wasn't used on an Epi, it was used on a StewMac kit guitar that needed something a bit extra without being too flashy, and it looks great. Having the dimensions available for all the various shapes made it easy to pick just what it needed.
I am very happy with the Mother of Pearl on Ebony TRC for my GS Mini Mahogany guitar, it is a great look. However, there was some spitting of the wood at the three holes where the screws affix the cover to the headstock,(as noted in another review) but difficult to see in this photo. I believe the problem is that the holes are undersized slightly as the Taylor OEM screws will indeed split the thin ebony veneer. Repeated removal of the TRC to access the truss rod may exacerbate the problem. This is not a problem with the original Taylor plastic TRC as it is much stronger than the thin ebony and additionally, the holes are chamfered to fit the wood screw correctly. Had I know this prior to mounting the TRC I would have carefully enlarged the holes slightly by hand before screwing it into place.
