My dad’s new Indian Rosewood & Cross MOP Capo

Dad’s been playing for 42 years but has been stalled lately. We had a little jam session with my new Taylor guitar and one of my older ones and it seemed to rekindle his desire to play again. Christmas morning I gave him the new capo and he loved it so much he went and bought a Taylor K24ce builders edition to go with it. He said he couldn’t see putting such a fine capo on his old battle torn Ovation. We’ve jammed a few more times since, looking forward to a great new year.

My new capo :)

Exceeds Expectations!

I recently purchased my first capo from Thalia, the Hawaiian Koa Celtic knot in black chrome. It exceeds my expectations in both performance and appearance. The intonation issues I had with my previous capos simply don’t exist with the Thalia, and it looks great on my D-35! The artisanship is excellent, reminding me of a recent Celtic pilgrimage to Iona.

Thalia Koa Capo

Beautiful addition to my guitar and playing. More importantly, it works. No retuning or buzzing strings!

Great Capo overall

Overall, this is a great capo. Works well on my Bouzouki, and love that some of the money goes towards the bees. It looks awesome, and really goes well with the wood on my Herb Taylor Bouzouki. And with lots of options of pads, there's a LOT of different ways to use this capo. Again, overall this capo is awesome. But, there was a little problem. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is a quality control issue. The second it came out of the box, the wooden honeycomb design part of the capo had already started peeling off a bit. Now, this is something that I can peel up a bit, get some glue in there, and clamp it down to fix it. Definitely not an "end of the world" scenario. But for something that costs as much as they do, things like that shouldn't be happening and I shouldn't have to be fixing a brand new item. Would I recommend them? Definitely. Just be on the look out for small, cosmetic issues.

Fretboard Radius Guide By Guitar Make & Model

To achieve a perfect fit, the Thalia Capo comes with multiple interchangable fretpads so that you can match the fretboard radius of your specific instrument. The following table lists common fretboard radii used by major manufacturer.  If you do not find your specific brand and model below you can Google your guitar make/model plus the words "fretboard radius"; if that doesn't work you can use the manual method which is described here

Please Note:  12-String & 8-String Guitars should use our High Tension OctaveTouch fretpads to get the best performance.  Standard Tension and High Tension Rubber fretpads are included with every capo.  Our Teflon fretpads will likely not work on instruments with octave strings. size chart guide fret board
