Thickness Specs

You can order our pick packs in 0.9mm or 1.4mm thicknesses.

Our 0.9mm has a playability that is similar to a Fender Medium, while our 1.4mm would be similar to a Fender Thick, but with a much warmer tone.

Our 2.0 Pick Technology

Thalia Exotic Wood Picks are crafted by slicing micro-thin layers of exotic wood and then bonding them back together with the woodgrain in a crosshatch pattern. The result is a very thin, flexible and durable wood pick with a warm tone that sounds better with each use. We offer multiple shapes and thicknesses.

Check out the overview video below for more details:

Our picks are made in the USA of 100% Santos Rosewood. Our 0.9mm picks are made with 2 layers of exotic wood and 1.4mm picks are made with 3 layers of exotic wood.  Each pick then goes through a 24 hour tumbling sequence to soften the edge.

Durability & Playability

Our picks are made of 100% wood so they will wear down with use. They will not last as long as a plastic pick, but we think that you will love their tone and thinness.

Our thinnest pick, the 0.9mm is flexible and functionally similar to a Fender Medium. As a result these picks will wear out much faster than our thicker 1.4mm picks. These picks are made of two layers of wood that are crosshatched for strength. They are the most fragile of all of our picks. These picks are really made for users who desire flex in their wood pick.  If you are a hard strummer the 0.9mm picks are probably not for you.

Our thicker 1.4mm picks will develop a beveled edge as you play with them and adapt to your picking style. These picks are made of three layers of wood and are far more durable. As a result, they really don't have any flex.

Great product range!!

Great tones, on acoustic it’s mellow & deep, on electric I can squeeze out pinched harmonics too.
Great service, love this company, have a range of things now, capo, amazing, pick tins & picks too.
Sometimes an original innovative product comes along that is a nice reward.

Thalia phone cases are awesome!

This is my second Thalia phone case and I have loved them both. Previously I had the Taylor logo design and now the pick pile design. Both were beautifully engraved and inlays were nicely done. The Taylor case lasted a couple years and was still going strong, but I upgraded my phone and it no longer fit. I knew I wanted another Thalia case for my new phone. They look great and do an excellent job protecting your phone!

Awesome picks!

I’m having a great time trying the different picks in this sampler tin! They are beautiful as well as functional! Definitely enjoying the texture as they don’t seem to slip and slide as much some others do. Very happy with this product!

Macassar Stripped Ebony Picks, Tin and Puck

Having a guitar with a Macassar Striped Ebony back made matching the wood for accessories, more difficult. That is, until Thalia came out with a Macassar Picks and the Tin. The Pick Puck was an extra that I never really expected. It is beautiful, too, and actually gets more discussion than all the others. Thalia's craftsmanship and work is just plain gorgeous! The puck is genius! And has the side benefit of making picks available wherever I want to put it (so as to be able to grab them to play). And the beautiful picks have the benefit of being useful for playing, as well. Note: I smoothed out the edges on the picks before using them to play much - as I like a little more of a rounded single edge than what came on delivery, which was a bit flat and edgy, at first.

Favorite picks

Thalia wooden picks are my favorites. They just seem to glide along the strings. I destroyed one of the lighter wood picks with some heavy strumming and decided to try the Ebony picks. They are holding up well and I will be buying more when these wear out. Or when I hand them out to friends which is where half of my Thalia picks have gone.
