Symbology & Meaning

The seigaiha is a repeating pattern of concentric circles that is symbolic of waves or water.  It was first used in China to signify water on ancient maps but it has also been in use for over a thousand years in Japan where the symbol has great significance on kimonos and in ceramics.  This pattern can have many meanings including surges of good luck and it can also mean power and resilience, which is fitting for guitar players looking for a little extra mojo at your next gig.

We are making our Limited Edition Seigaiha Capos by laser engraving the pattern onto Figured Hawaiian Koa and then inking the engraving with india ink to bring out the rich wave pattern.
