Symbology & Meaning
The seigaiha is a repeating pattern of concentric circles that is symbolic of waves or water. It was first used in China to signify water on ancient maps but it has also been in use for over a thousand years in Japan where the symbol has great significance on kimonos and in ceramics. This pattern can have many meanings including surges of good luck and it can also mean power and resilience, which is fitting for guitar players looking for a little extra mojo at your next gig.
We are making our Limited Edition Seigaiha Capos by laser engraving the pattern onto Figured Hawaiian Koa and then inking the engraving with india ink to bring out the rich wave pattern. Each of these capos will come on our 24K gold finish and will also include a special edition Seigaiha Wave guitar pick!
Every capo comes with a microfiber cleaning/gig pouch along with our Standard Tension & our High Tension (formally XL) Rubber Fretpad Tuning kits, which each include 7 different fretpads designed to fit a range of instruments with the following radii: 0" for Classical, 7.25". 9.5", 10", 12", 15" & 16". (14 FRETPADS IN TOTAL) The High Tension Fretpads are 2mm taller than our standard tension fretpads, so these are needed for 12-string guitars, Ukuleles, Banjos and certain guitars with low profile necks.
To see what fretpad you will need for your guitar, you can check out our fretboard radius database
Thalia Capos is committed to quality and all Thalia Capos come with a LIFETIME WARRANTY; this includes the mechanical function of the capo including the spring, lever and housing of the capo. If something goes wrong drop us a line at email@example.com and we will fix it or provide you with a replacement.
This warranty is only available to the original purchaser through ThaliaCapos.com or our company stores on other e-commerce sites and is not transferable. If you received the Thalia Capo as a gift, please let us know who you received it from when you contact support with a warranty claim. Please note that this warranty does not cover misuse, accidental damage or scratches to the metal finish.
You can use a Thalia Capo on a 12-String, 8-String, Ukulele, Banjo or Mandolin, but you will most likely need our High Tension Rubber Fretpads (formally XL) which are 2mm taller than our standard 6-string guitar fretpads. THESE FRETPADS ARE NOW INCLUDED with every capo so you don't need anything else!
All of our capos come packaged in our retail packaging, which includes a polycarbonate jewel case, quick-start guide, microfiber gig bag, santos rosewood pick and a Thalia sticker.
For an even better gifting experience, considering upgrading to our Celebrity Gift Box which includes 2-pull out drawers with a slot for each of the 14 fretpads included with every capo (also includes other items included with standard packaging); you can find our Celebrity Gift Box here
