GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction Pads

Our proprietary GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction Pads are modeled after a Gecko's foot, using suction instead of adhesive to adhere to your guitar.

We tested multiple formulations of micro-suction material before finalizing the formula for our GuitarSafe™ pads.  Some formulations were far too aggressive and others not quite aggressive enough.  Instead, we wanted it to adhere safely to the guitar's finish but not so aggressively that it could cause damage to delicate finishes. The pad's surface contains thousands of microscopic air pockets that create partial vacuums between the puck and the target surface. It isn’t pressure sensitive and won't leave any residue behind. It can also be used repeatedly without losing its gripping power.

To see our ongoing testing blog on the subject click here.  Our GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction Pad technology is now also available on our Taylor Acoustic Pick Guards!

If your Thalia Pick Puck loses some of its bonding power, simply wipe the GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction pad with a damp cloth to remove the dust and it will work as good as new.  To remove the pick puck, you simply pull slowly or twist to break the suction.

Review of Pick Puck 2.0

This device is working great for me, compensating for my fumbling fingers when I drop a pick mid-performance. It takes a minute to get used to putting the pick back in the puck but that’s not a flaw; it’s good to have it tighter than looser. Good workmanship and no impact to my guitar’s finish.

Pearl Cross Pick Puck 2.0

Looks great on my Taylor 324 when I play for church. Really handy to have picks close by.

Simple, comfortable pick access

As a player who mixes finger style and pick strumming being able to stick my pick puck right on the neck at the body makes the transition really smooth.

Yet another great product from Thalia!

Looks awesome and totally functional

I put the pick puck on my Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster. Everyone always asks where I got it and how cool it looks. I already have an awesome capo and I’m looking at the slides and a ring.

Another lovely pick puck

My most recent order was for a Koa pick puck for my collection, while the current one isn't quite as fancy, there's something to be said for the elegance of the wood, it doesn't really need shell or images to make it look good. As with the other pick pucks, they are great for keeping a pick or too to hand when playing and for storage, and the micro suction pads are magic, you would think the things attached with industrial safe super glue, but they can easily be removed and relocated - just make sure to follow the instructions when removing...

Pick Puck Testing on Various Guitar Finishes

If you are wondering about how the pick puck may affect your guitar's finish you are in the right place.  In this blog article, I will perform a series of tests on my guitars and talk about finish safety.  The bottom line is that the pick puck uses thousands of nano-sized suction cups to adhere to your guitar.   While it doesn't use adhesive it does use suction, so certain finishes should be avoided.

In this next video, Chris demonstrates how to remove the pick puck safely without damaging the puck or your guitar's finish.
