Why compromise using a generic style capo, when Thalia has pads that match your guitar’s radius? My thalia 20” kit is perfect for my Strandberg. It provides the right amount of pressure on the strings; and my guitar stays in tune.
Finally have a capo (20” radius) that fits my Lowden Jazz nylon string series perfectly! Gone are the days of buzzing strings when nether a classical capo (straight), nor a capo for 17” radius would properly and evenly compress the strings!
What is the point of having a custom guitar that cost several thousand dollars and then using a $7 capo that looks more like something you would find in the garage than something that belongs on a musical work of art? Musically, they work great. I never have trouble with string tone. I also like that they are small enough to fit in a shirt pocket rather than the normal big garage clamp capos.
I needed the 20" radius insert to fit the radius of my Taylor 714ce-n and it does the job.
Since I have three pre-owned hand made guitars by the Augustino Loprinzi, I didn't know what the neck radius was and I had been having a hard time choosing which Thalia insert to use. Coincidentally, when I finally got a set of gauges with which to measure the radius and found that all three of mine have 20in radii, you had just come out with your 20in set of inserts and the standard tension insert works perfectly on the six-strings.
