OctaveTouch

Constructed by a proprietary silicone blend that exactly mimics the elasticity of the human finger and works great on 12-string, Baritone, and 6-string guitars. Comes in both standard tension and high tension (2mm thicker) configurations. OctaveTouch Standard Tension Fretpads, work with all 6-strings, while High Tension Fretpads are designed to handle 12-string, Mandolins, Ukuleles & thin necked guitars.   For more information on our all NEW OctaveTouch™ fretpads, please see this blog post:  OctaveTouch™

TEFLON SLIDING

Our Teflon Fretpad’s material attributes are the complete opposite of rubber. While rubber is soft and binding, Teflon is hard and slippery. These characteristics, produce a noticeably more vibrant tone and allow the strings to bend and slide beneath the capo, which help to keep your guitar in tune. This makes teflon act like a finger instead of a nut.  Comes in both standard tension and high tension (2mm thicker) configurations. Teflon Standard Tension Fretpads, work with all 6-strings, while High Tension Fretpads are designed to handle Mandolins, Ukuleles & thin necked guitars. * Not to be used with 12-strings or Baritone guitars.

RUBBER

Our Rubber Fretpads are harder than our OctaveTouch fretpads but are still soft enough to bind the strings to the fret, keeping them from moving beneath the capo.    This makes them act like a nut.  Traditional capos have always used rubber due to its conforming characteristics. Every Thalia Capo comes with a set of our Standard & High Tension Rubber Fretpads.

Partial esus

These rubber fretpads convert any 200 series Thalia Capo into a Esus Partial Capo. When the capo is installed from the treble side (bottom) of the neck, strings 2-3-4 or 1-2-3 will be fretted.  When installed from the bass side (top) of the neck, strings 3-4-5 or 4-5-6 can be fretted.  These are very useful with alternate tunings.

Customize extra fret pads

I bought 2 extra fret pads to match my neck radius to customize for a drop d and a DADGAD capo. Just quickly change the pad and you have a new tuning!

15" hi tension single fretpad awesome

I have a Taylor 562 8 string baritone, 2 octave strings, the A and D pairs ( b to b tuning ). The Taylor forum recommended Thalia. A quick message exchange with Gareth, Thalia's support manager steered me to this product ( and capo ). I am still experimenting with clamping the capo from the top (low b) or underneath ( hi b ) gives me the test results. I haven't tried it yet on my 12 string. And the capo is beautiful and easy to operate. The pad inserts easily in the capo, and can be switched out easily for use with 6 string.

New fret pads

I purchased a couple of capos a few years back which I have enjoyed using and love. However, over time felt that they weren’t quite as effective as they had been. I didn’t need a new capo (although I would have loved one!)
The new fret pads did the job brilliantly. The capos are working like they did originally and I’ve saved a few pounds (I’m from the UK 🇬🇧 )

So far so good!

I bought two of these... One that would fit most of my regular guitar radii and one that was the high tension for my 12 string.

I really like the silicone feel and it truly does seem to wrap around the strings - more like your flesh does. Regular pad/other capos had the regular problem with the 12 string of not being able to press down the higher strings on the low end of the guitar. The Thalia capo does the trick. It takes a little adjustment and a "press" to get it - but it does work.

I think the "regular" tension pad works better than the old style. It seems to give adequate pressure while keeping the guitar in tune/intonation a little better! Sometimes my old Thalias (like all other capos) effected the tuning just slightly... the silicone pad doesn't in my experience.

The question... will these hold up as well as the hard rubber ones? That's the question even Thalia doesn't know the answer to yet. But - so far so good! Time will tell. And at the small price of the pad I believe that it will at LEAST last plenty long enough that even re-buying it will be worth the time used.

Keep selling these, Chris!
