In addition to playing “regular” slide resonator guitar (National/Dobro), I also play slide tenor resonator ukulele (Mya Moe, which have National resonator cones). This is a perfect slide for resonator uke — it is smooth, solid (with the wood core), but very lightweight, which makes it perfect for playing slide on an instrument that includes nylon strings with a relatively low action. I use nylon-core smoothwound gold (brass/bronze wrap) strings on the two lower strings, and hard-tension fluorocarbon strings for the upper two. The lightness, but firmness, of this slide is truly ideal for this — creating a full and resonant tone, while easy to control. I love these slides, and have four of them.
It's my finger that slides in and out of the "slide". Need a sizing mechanism.
These slides are beautifully made and are a pleasure to play the guitar with. I have tried a number of different slides over the years, but none come even close to the quality and feel of these.
I got my husband a blue abalone capo in the past, so recently I got him a blue abalone slide and pick puck so it's all a like a matching set. He's always impressed with gifts I get him from Thalia and loves the style!
A great slide, and I have many of them. The little finger slide was immediately adopted as my main, and exclusive, slide tool. It has close to the warmth of glass, but still a bit of a metal bite, which suites me perfectly because I am a blues / rock player on G tuned wooden dobro. It's expensive, but well worth it.
