GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction Technology

Our proprietary GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction Pads are modeled after a Gecko's foot, using suction instead of adhesive to adhere to your guitar.

We tested multiple formulations of micro-suction material before finalizing the formula for our GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction Pads.  Some formulations were far too aggressive and others not quite aggressive enough.  Instead, we wanted it to adhere safely to the guitar's finish but not so aggressively that it could cause damage to delicate finishes. The pad's surface contains thousands of microscopic air pockets that create partial vacuums between the puck and the target surface. It isn’t pressure sensitive and won't leave any residue behind. It can also be used repeatedly without losing its gripping power.

Beautiful Upgrade with a Few Minor Quirks

I recently purchased a pickguard and truss rod cover for my Taylor guitar, and overall, I'm very happy with the upgrade. The craftsmanship and aesthetic are stunning—visually, the set elevates the look of the guitar in a way that feels both unique and high-end. If I were rating based solely on artistry, this would be a solid 5 out of 5 stars.

That said, there are a couple of minor functional considerations worth mentioning. The natural wood has a bit of texture to it, so it doesn't have the same ultra-smooth feel as traditional vinyl or the original OEM pickguard. Also, the edges of the pickguard could be slightly more refined—during strumming, they feel a bit sharp and occasionally catch my hand. I imagine I'll get used to it over time, and it's not a deal-breaker by any means.

Despite those small points, this is a beautiful and thoughtfully made product. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars overall, with full marks for design and appearance. If you're looking to give your Taylor a more artistic and personal touch, this is a great choice.

Beautiful!

This pickguard looks beautiful on my guitar! I used a blow dryer to warm the original pickguard and slowly peal it off, easy peasy. The new one perfectly replaces the original. The wood has great figure and chatoyance. Very happy with my purchase!

wood was a very thin veneer and very dry. did not complement the look of my guitar at all. Very disappointed with this product, the capo was good.

Aesthetic Upgrade

I love my Taylor 816CE! It is perfection.... except for that Godawful tortoise pick guard. We'll, I replaced it with the most beautiful piece of Quilted Bubingga from Thalia. Everyone asks me where I got it. Directions on removing the old one were simple and I had no issues.
