GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction Pads

Our proprietary GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction Pads are modeled after a Gecko's foot, using suction instead of adhesive to adhere to your guitar.

We tested multiple formulations of micro-suction material before finalizing the formula for our GuitarSafe™ pads.  Some formulations were far too aggressive and others not quite aggressive enough.  Instead, we wanted it to adhere safely to the guitar's finish but not so aggressively that it could cause damage to delicate finishes. The pad's surface contains thousands of microscopic air pockets that create partial vacuums between the puck and the target surface. It isn’t pressure sensitive and won't leave any residue behind. It can also be used repeatedly without losing its gripping power.

To see our ongoing testing blog on the subject click here.

If your Thalia Pick Puck loses some of its bonding power, simply wipe the GuitarSafe™ Micro-Suction pad with a damp cloth to remove the dust and it will work as good as new.  To remove the pick puck, you simply pull up very slowly on one edge to break the suction.

Celtic Knot & Shamrock Pick Pucks

Thalia sent me an email about a sale on pick pucks. I was thinking about getting one and their advertising worked, I ordered 2. The Celtic Knot and the Shamrock. They are so nice and well made. They look great and I can clip my Thalia capos on them. They hold any picks you got. They look fantastic on my Taylors I am very glad I ordered them.

Great!

I have a bunch of pick pucks, and they're all great. This one is particularly pretty, and is one of favorites

My only concern is that I like thick picks, so I can't store too many in each puck without the puck coming apart. If easily goes back together, so it's not really a problem

Really useful item overall, and beautifully executed

Sugar Skull pick puck is awesome!

Besides the cool looks, the best thing about this pick puck is how easy it is to go from heavy strumming to finger picking in the same song (Creep!). I no longer have to stick the pick in my mouth! It’s a great idea, and beautifully made. Playing a three hour set of covers is so much easier with a puck puck. I bought another beautiful dragon puck for my acoustic guitar. Count me a Thalia fan.

An Impressive Piece of Art and Technology

Not only does the pick puck hold a surprising amount of picks, but it can also give you a place to safely store your capo on your guitar. The suction cups on the pick puck are very fun to play around with and the design of the puck is amazing. The hummingbird and flowers look very vibrant and standout even more in the sunlight.

Canadian Flag Pick Puck

I have a digital guitar that I was telling the band about but never brought it to rehearsal so they started referring to it as my Canadian Girlfriend as in “I have a girlfriend, but you. Guys have never met her because she lives in Canada.” I refused to bring the guitar to rehearsal until I got the Canadian Flag Pick Puck. I finally did. It is a blue James Tyler US Variax and the red and white flag looks great on my Canadian girlfriend. This is not the first pick puck for me. I have several on different guitars and they work great. I prefer the small ones as they look a little more subtle.

Pick Puck Testing on Various Guitar Finishes

If you are wondering about how the pick puck may affect your guitar's finish you are in the right place.  In this blog article, I will perform a series of tests on my guitars and talk about finish safety.  The bottom line is that the pick puck uses thousands of nano-sized suction cups to adhere to your guitar.   While it doesn't use adhesive it does use suction, so certain finishes should be avoided.

In this next video, Chris demonstrates how to remove the pick puck safely without damaging the puck or your guitar's finish.
