I purchased the Dove & Blue Abalone pick puck expecting the mother-of-pearl dove as shown on the product images and in the description. The abalone is great, but the dove is made of a disappointing plastic material. I would usually let the issue go if I got an explanation from Thalia or if they tried to make it right in any way possible, but instead I got nothing as I emailed support twice with no responses. 2 stars because the function and abalone is still good.
Purchased 24k gold finish for lasting luster - after all Thalia claims to be the beautiful capo - read their story about Thalia thinking Taylor Swift needed a beautiful capo. Only a few months after receipt of my 24k gold capo the finish begins to tarnish. Quote from Thalia after contact regarding the tarnished 24k gold, "We're also very sorry but our warranty only covers mechanical failures...", going on to offer a one time 20% discount on a new purchase. It's beautiful, if you get a good one and it works well as a capo. it's also very large and in the way for many types of playing. You can purchase a similar quality without the premium price. Been buying capos for 50 years and none have finish issues like this new one. Over priced specialty products like this one should offer a replacement, especially when they market their product as being beautiful. Will not recommend to anyone without alerting them to potentially faulty finishes. I fully expect his review to be deleted or rewritten.
I was TRULY impressed with the beautiful supple leather of this strap. Buttery soft and the delicate iridescent Mandala Inlay is enchanting! You will NOT be disappointed with this beautiful work of art!
Having the pearl cross in Koa matches my guitar very nicely! I've received several compliments on the look.
I really appreciate Thalia capos. Quick and easy to change positions (great when playing in bluegrass jams). I especially like that my capo perfectly fits different guitars just by changing the pad (e.g., 16 high tension for my D-18, 15 for a couple of Taylors, 12 for an Eastman).
Gotta love the Lone Star State in color on this bad boy!
I was skeptical of these picks, I’ve used the same kind for years, but these rosewood picks really give a warm sound to my bright acoustic guitar and they’re comfortable to hold. Highly recommend you give them a shot!
The main purpose of a capo is to change tuning. But is that all? Not when you use a Thalia capo. They are also small pieces of art. And their fret pads matching your fingerboard radius make them just perfect, both functionally as well as esthetically.
Always useful, nice showstopper and gifted it to my very appreciative French friend.
The ukulele sock added to my Thalia capo (for my guitar) did make the capo more efficient and reduced buzzing, but also made the capo more difficult to put in place.
Between the Expression Rings, the custom Truss Rod Cover, & the pick puck; my 954ce sounds so much better (and plays more difficult pieces too!)
I'll be ordering more for the rest of the herd! :-)
I love this truss rod cover. It’s a beautiful piece of art. I plan on buying another one soon, so i can have two for my double neck guitar project.
Looks great on my tailor, easy installation.
The different fret pads. Improves the performance on the different “odd ball”
Guitars I use. Jumbo 12. Short scale Octive 12
Acousticaster. 6 string octave bass. Baritone electric. although I still have issues with jumbo 12 above the 5th fret. No matter what fret pad I use.
Even with the different fret pads, I can’t use it above the 5th on my guild jumbo 12
I only wish it would do a better job above 5 th fret on my Guild 512. And yes I have tried the different fret pads.
Thalia truss rod covers just add a touch of class and distinction to my Taylor guitars
These are the business - superb all-rounders!
