Purchased 24k gold finish for lasting luster - after all Thalia claims to be the beautiful capo - read their story about Thalia thinking Taylor Swift needed a beautiful capo. Only a few months after receipt of my 24k gold capo the finish begins to tarnish. Quote from Thalia after contact regarding the tarnished 24k gold, "We're also very sorry but our warranty only covers mechanical failures...", going on to offer a one time 20% discount on a new purchase. It's beautiful, if you get a good one and it works well as a capo. it's also very large and in the way for many types of playing. You can purchase a similar quality without the premium price. Been buying capos for 50 years and none have finish issues like this new one. Over priced specialty products like this one should offer a replacement, especially when they market their product as being beautiful. Will not recommend to anyone without alerting them to potentially faulty finishes. I fully expect his review to be deleted or rewritten.
I was TRULY impressed with the beautiful supple leather of this strap. Buttery soft and the delicate iridescent Mandala Inlay is enchanting! You will NOT be disappointed with this beautiful work of art!

Not my first Thalia capo. And I have a box full of other brands. Thalia certainly has the bling. Two suggestions: lose weight, lower tension.
Thalias are in no danger of blowing away:
23g - D'Addario Pro Plus
34g - G7th Heritage
37g - Shubb F1
42g - Shubb F3
76g - Black Mountain
95g - Thalia
The first 3 capos together weigh about what the Thalia does. They all work.
While there is no way to test it as it isn’t adjustable, I suspect the Thalia might easily work for many with half the tension.
I value capos that can be easily installed with one (left) hand with no risk of dropping it (and denting the guitar if it hits). Thalias need significant grip strength to do that and not everyone has that.
And they’re expensive.
I remember when the classical guitar fret pads were included with the $80 capos

The Hummingbird truss rod cover is stunning! Lovely addition to a treasured instrument.
The leather is soft and the Celtic symbol is just as advertised!
I've been looking at this for years; the wife finally had me get it for Christmas. Beyond aesthetics, I don't think I've ever used a better capo.
This is a simply beautiful capo, quality construction, works perfectly and is so easy to use. I would highly recommend.
Get a ukulele sock and the right High Tension fretpad and you are good to go! And what a beauty!
Thalia makes beautiful items and this iPhone case is no exception. Additionally it provided excellent protection and allows for magnetic charging without removing the case.
I had a broken fretted (kept coming out one the capo). I emailed Thalia about it and they graciously sent a replacement. Easy snap-in install and the capo is back in action. Thank you Thalia for your great customer service.

Bit different getting it on and off. Excellent quality and gorgeous.
I haven’t even unpacked it. I asked that the 25% discount be applied to “make it right” and was denied. Then an even better sale came along and I asked again. Still no. I’m done.
I bought this capo to be used with my Collings ukuleles, following the instructions provided by Thalia: use the high-tension fretpad (of the correct fretboard radius) and get yourself a ukulele sock. And is a perfect combo!
