Purchased 24k gold finish for lasting luster - after all Thalia claims to be the beautiful capo - read their story about Thalia thinking Taylor Swift needed a beautiful capo. Only a few months after receipt of my 24k gold capo the finish begins to tarnish. Quote from Thalia after contact regarding the tarnished 24k gold, "We're also very sorry but our warranty only covers mechanical failures...", going on to offer a one time 20% discount on a new purchase. It's beautiful, if you get a good one and it works well as a capo. it's also very large and in the way for many types of playing. You can purchase a similar quality without the premium price. Been buying capos for 50 years and none have finish issues like this new one. Over priced specialty products like this one should offer a replacement, especially when they market their product as being beautiful. Will not recommend to anyone without alerting them to potentially faulty finishes. I fully expect his review to be deleted or rewritten.
I was TRULY impressed with the beautiful supple leather of this strap. Buttery soft and the delicate iridescent Mandala Inlay is enchanting! You will NOT be disappointed with this beautiful work of art!
My Rosewood trussrod cover with mother-of-pearl inlaid phases of the moon looks great on my Taylor! The inlay is perfectly done and looks just as pictured on the website. It fit perfectly. Adds a little class!
Thalia has made very nice pick guard the one I purchased was a Quiled Buniga for my Taylor and what a difference it made for the whole guitar.
I have a Gibson J200 and the inlay design makes it blend much nicer with my guitar than other pick holders. It sits on the top and stores my picks for ease of access.
It is clearly different from other rubber fretpads. First, the sound quality is very clear. It is also excellent that I can tune normally even with the capo attached. Because Teflon is a hard material, when installed correctly it holds the strings more firmly than the common rubber capos. The Teflon fretpad, of course, wears, but since the fretpad is sold separately, all issues are solved. Perfect.
Although it has a simple clamp-only construction, this is a perfect capo in every respect: the clamping force is just right, it is easy to attach and remove, and key changes are easy. In particular, for changing frets (key changes), I can move the capo without breaking my left-hand playing form, so in terms of playability it is the only capo that is unmatched by any other.
Thalia capos simply put are the absolute best I've used in 57 years of playing guitar.
Yes its a decent capo, but this is the only capo where its hurts to squeeze open. No capo should be above $20 but at least some of the proceeds went towards something good..I hope
These capos are not just excellent tools for your instrument. They are pieces of art. I purchased The Azure as a special gift for a friend. It will be memorable and something used everyday.
I have ordered capos from Thalia in the past and when I received this ebony guitar, I knew exactly who to contact for a truss rod cover. It arrived quickly, fit perfectly and added just the right touch to this beauty. I also ordered a pick holder for this and another guitar. I would definitely recommend their products, as the capos I received are really nice.
This order started due to failure of a brand new pick puck. Rather than replacing a defective puck, replacement pads were send which was a pain. The replacement puck pads have extremely poor instructions. Even after calling customer service for direction I still almost messed up. Extremely poor customer service and extremely poor directions
It looks awesome and works well enough but it won’t stay on my SG headstock when I’m not using it. Checked and it has the standard insert so I’m not sure what’s going on. I’ve got another one and have never experienced this issue.
So glad I ordered a decorative truss rod cover for my Taylor Solidbody. Received it quickly, and the fit is perfect thanks to the available template to measure things up. Thanks!
In addition to playing “regular” slide resonator guitar (National/Dobro), I also play slide tenor resonator ukulele (Mya Moe, which have National resonator cones). This is a perfect slide for resonator uke — it is smooth, solid (with the wood core), but very lightweight, which makes it perfect for playing slide on an instrument that includes nylon strings with a relatively low action. I use nylon-core smoothwound gold (brass/bronze wrap) strings on the two lower strings, and hard-tension fluorocarbon strings for the upper two. The lightness, but firmness, of this slide is truly ideal for this — creating a full and resonant tone, while easy to control. I love these slides, and have four of them.
This is the icing on the cake for my beautiful Taylor 522ce 12-fret guitar. Very well made. Easy installation. And provided that classy touch of elegance to my favorite guitar. Their guitar pick is also a work of art. Just beautiful. Thank you Thalia.
Great.cases! I’ve had one on my phone since having IPhone X, currently on IPhone 14 Pro but now that they have The IPhone 16 series I might just have to upgrade? I’ve been moving my wallet that they used to have to all my phones that I upgrade,Taylor insert.
I was having trouble finding a replacement truss rod cover for my LP Supreme; it was gold, had “Les Paul” inscribed on it, and was tarnished. This rosewood one with the old Gibson headstock inlay was perfect! Professionally made, looks way better than the gold one, and it won’t tarnish.
I’m very impressed with the quality and flexibility of these capos. I was a little hesitant based on overall price, but have found them to be well worth the price. I will likely add another so I can have one set up for my Martins and one for my Taylors. The individual pads work very well.
Canadian Flag 🇨🇦 capo is phenomenal in all regards! Quality and ease of function. I am grateful!
If you are reading this, you likely already know that Thalia capos are the best- by a lot. So you are probably drawn to the beauty of the design. I have a number of best of beautiful Thalias and the Seigaihi Waves is right at the top of the list. The artistic rendering and quality of the execution is simply gorgeous. If you like beauty to go with function, than this capo is very worthy of your consideration.
bought this a few weeks ago. it is absolutely beautiful and high quality; however, the gap is too wide to fit on the head of my guitar where i usually rest my capo when not using. Unfortunately, when i do as Thalia suggests and leave it on the nut of my guitar for a few hours, the strings leave an impression inside the capo which then makes it more difficult to seat the capo properly without buzz. I have to adjust several times to find a space in the capo where there is not an indention and to get the proper fit. I would expect much more for such an expensive tool. I bought 2 additional capos for my other guitars and another as a gift for a friend, but now i think i am going to return them.
My cousin celebrating his Bar Mitzvah in June. As a 13 year old, he not only led the Jewish Shabbat service but also played guitar accompaniment to many of the songs and prayers. The Pearl Milky Way Pick Puck made a “stellar” accessory to his folk guitar, capturing his attention and the eyes of those watching him play. And best of all, he had Thalia picks at ready without having to miss a beat!
